So I found this next thing on Facebook…

I’d never heard of Stefan Moyneux prior to watching this, but I’m a believer now. Here’s the thing about this: he bases his arguments on the premise that Brand has the noblest of intentions, and then runs them out to their logical end.

Now, I’ll be the first person to point out that you can get after most liberals with encyclopedic facts, and that won’t alter their perspective of things. The thing about this approach, however, is for the folks that are wavering or on the fence… it’s so calm and positive, you almost can’t help but nod along to it, and its warmth is almost intoxicating.

When you’re selling the idea, or rebutting a liberal’s bullshit, I urge you to ponder that you’re not going to change the liberal’s mind, but you may change the mind of the audience watching this unfold. The liberal has no defensible arguments save for their good intentions, and that one weapon they have requires the use of judo or jiu-jitsu against it- use their momentum to pull them into a vulnerable position, and then pound them not with remarks about how stupid they are, but how their good intentions have been so poorly-executed by people who pretend to be on their side.

Much Ado About Nothing

So a post over at Gateway has been making the rounds about “the establishment plans to exorcise the Tea Party”.

It just so happens that our dear friend Conservative Belle, a loooooooong-time Moronette, happens to be pretty well-connected within the party apparatus, and pointed out the following:

LOOOOOOOL! I looked at Open Secrets to see about this Defending Main Street PAC. As a Republican Party member, I have not heard of any strategy to get rid of Tea Party members or conservatives. [NOTE:On the contrary, I do hear about the Club for Growth, Tea Party Express and Paulbots who want to take out Republicans.] This is just some ridiculous rogue group and guess how much money they have. A whole $39K cash on hand. LMAO! They sound like a REAL threat.

Stop getting your panties in a bunch about headlines like this. This garbage is meant to rip the party apart and get your faux outrage up. There is no RNC/GOP strategy trying to target anyone except DEMOCRATS.

If anyone wasn't aware of it already, there's a big intraparty battle going on for who gets to call the shots... not too dissimilar to what we saw between Hillary and Obama last time. Best way to make sure what needs to happen happens is to stay focused on it, and don't let gadflies and poltroons distract you from the important stuff. Obamacare, amnesty, and a rather large debt are still out there.
