ObamaCare 'propaganda' on our favorite shows?
Here I’ll just pause to remind the entertainment industry that it has about half the approval rating of the NRA. (In January, at the peak of NRA attacks, the gun-rights group had a 44% favorability score as against 24% for the entertainment industry, an NBC News/WSJ poll found).
Nor is pushing politics a winning business model: In the last frenzy of Hollywood propaganda, during the mid-2000s peak of Bush Derangement Syndrome, we were treated to such dismal and didactic Iraq War dramas as “Lions for Lambs” (final gross: $15 million), “In the Valley of Elah” ($6.8 million) and “Grace Is Gone” ($51,000 — that’s right, thousand, as in “less than the cost of the Evian they drank on the set”).
At least those films weren’t planted by the White House, though. This time it’s different. An industry that loves to trumpet its fierce devotion to the First Amendment is putting itself at risk when it willingly becomes another tool of the DC power elite.
Government At Work
Water supply cut off after man urinates into reservoir. So they proceed to dump 7.8 million gallons of water. Stephen Goddard asks a good question. What do they think about 50 billion animals in the forest passing their bodily waste into the water supply?
An administrator for the Water Bureau, David Shaff, said that because of this incident, roughly 7.8 million gallons of drinking water will be discarded. He said the bureau often finds dead animals in the same drinking supply but the water isn’t dumped.

Cooked Up Racism
Not a surprise. Handwriting expert says receipt with racist writing on it not left by customer. Hmmm, you don't think perhaps it was the waitress wanting some attention do you?
Robot Shooter
Ah. Skynet continues to grow. U.S. military tests robot that fires machine gun.

Indiana Jones

Interesting discussion. Did Indy matter?
In a recent episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon introduces his girlfriend, Amy, to the Raiders of the Lost Ark, which she’d never seen before. She liked the movie, she explains, despite the big “story problem.” Sheldon is aghast at the suggestion there could be any story problems with the “love child” of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. “What story problem?” he demands to know. She explains that Indiana Jones is absolutely irrelevant to the story. If he’d never gotten involved, the Nazis would have still found the ark of the covenant, they would have still brought it to that island, and they would have still had their faces melted.
Cat Smugglers
Evidently, cats are becoming pretty adept at smuggling things into prison. Cannabis cat on a drug run collared at Moldova jail.
A cat was recently used to smuggle mobile phones into a Russian jail.
Guards caught it climbing a fence at the jail in Syktyvkar in June, the Moscow Times reported at the time, adding a photo of the creature being held by the scruff of its neck, the phones and chargers taped to its body.
It was just one of several attempts discovered in recent years, with cats at other jails being used to deliver heroin, the paper noted.
