Hahaha. Remember that NY newspaper editor that published gun owner addresses and put them on a map? Well, karma is a beotch.
Balloon Defense
So DC is getting some balloons for cruise missile defense. Um, who exactly is going to be launching these cruise missiles? Canada? And is this really a threat right now?
Within a year, a pair of souped-up $2.7 billion blimps (price includes R&D) will be floated 10,000 feet above the District of Columbia and act as a 340-mile-wide eye in the sky, detecting incoming missiles and the like.
Math
Oh man. This student is screwed if he is in a Common Core school district. Evidently a student was using his cell phone in math class so the teacher took it away, put in a pin code which required the student to solve the above problem in order to unlock his phone. Teaching the importance of math to students.
Fanboy Movie
Not too shabby. Wolverine vs Predator.
Shark Week
Well, it has been Shark Week this week on the Discovery Channel. In light of this, take the Shark Personality Quiz and see what kind of shark you are.
Don't Be This Guy
This reporter isn't too smart. How I aided and abetted my own debt card fraud.
Hunger Strike For Tatas
Topless activist on jail hunger strike. Kinda silly for a 16 day jail stay instead of just paying the $816 fine.
Instead of paying the $816 in fines with money, Pappas said Feeley could instead pay with jail time, at a rate of $50 a day. But the math is fuzzy: it costs taxpayers $179 a day to house an inmate at the jail, Sheriff Shaun Golden has said.
Court administrator Kathryn Garrecht said the judge was not calculating how much it costs to keep her in the jail.
"The $50 (a day) is going toward the fines she owes," Garrecht said. "He's just trying to wipe out the fines for her."
Damn. $179 a day per prisoner?
Priorities
So you are sailing in your yacht with your spouse and a dog and you hit a reef and have to swim to shore. Who do you rescue first? Here's what one bloke did.
Dog Video
Tonight's ONT brought to you by an optical illusion (how many black dots do you see?):
