Elizabeth Warren's Mother, Aunt Listed as "White" On Official Documents
Of course, of course. Because they were white, and weren't chasing a plum posting at a law school needing some "diversity."
Her mom listed herself as white on a census form, and her aunt was listed as white on a death certificate upon which Elizabeth Warren's name appears. I think the Daily Caller is suggesting, but can't say with certainty, that Elizabeth Warren filled the document out.
Barnes’ revelation that Warren’s mother identified as “white” conflicts with a story she has told about her parents eloping over her mother’s heritage.
“In the 1930s, when my parents got married, these were hard issues,” Warren said. “My father’s family so objected to my mother’s Native American heritage that my mother told me they had to elope.”
It was a different time, then. People didn't accept mixed marriages between pale white and fishbelly-white.
