Don't forget that tomorrow is Mother's Day. You've been warned. If you haven't gotten her anything, you can always break out your crayons and draw a picture or something. Or you can read this awesome letter and get inspired. Dear Mom: You Are Amazing. It's A Scientific Fact.
So, who was your favorite fictional TV or movie mom? I guess you could use the standard, wholesome June Cleaver or Florence Henderson type for your criteria but perhaps Katey Segal was better for being over the top (and busty)or perhaps it was Ray Romano's mom on Everyone Loves Raymond. Personally, I'm gonna have to vote for Jessica Walter for how she played Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development. Lucille Bluth's Greatest Hits below the fold:
Next Navy Ship Name
Hmmm. If one were to believe what Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) said on this video, then this quite possibly could be the worst name for a ship, especially a ferry. Those things capsize all the time. Navy Ferry To Be Named After Guam.
on Jan. 6, 1944, a report of Japanese Zeros flying in the air was issued and 70 U.S. planes took off for the fight. Johnson was left on the ground.
“After my third call to operations asking if I could go up there, he said, ‘Go on and you’re a fool for doing it,’ ” Johnson recalled.
The young pilot took off looking for the Japanese. After being waved off from a Navy plane, Johnson said he U-turned and came face-to-face with a Zero.
“I looked at him and he looked at me,” Johnson said. “I thought, ‘Good God Almighty, I have really screwed up.’ I spent all this time trying to be a pilot and there the dang fool just gets away.’
“So I was just as disgusted as I could be.”
A few minutes later, Johnson found himself 2,000 feet below another enemy plane.
“Instead of being smart and all that stuff, I started shooting ahead of him and the wing blew up and he crashed,” he said. “Then I started to stall out — I call that just hanging on a prop — but all I could think was that I had finally gotten a Zero.”
Johnson said he pushed his Corsair forward, causing cigarettes, hydraulic fuel and other knick-knacks to be thrust forward. He was in a panic until he recalled the wise words of Boyington.
“He always told us, when you get something, hit the deck and go home,” Johnson said. “And that’s what I did.”
Kitteh Video
A bit different than your normal kitteh video. It's claymation kittehs in a Die Hard/SWAT team setting. It is a bit violent. In a claymation kind of way.
