"Always be drunk ... Get drunk militantly. Just get drunk."
That quote is from a French poet named Charles Baudelaire. Many more awesome quotes and tidbits of info at Life Magazine's Famous Literary Drunks and Addicts. Here is one from Charles Bukowski.
"Drinking is an emotional thing. It joggles you out of everyday life, out of everything being the same. It yanks you out of your body and your mind and throws you against the wall. I have the feeling that drinking is a form of suicide where you're allowed to return to life and begin all over the next day. It's like killing yourself, and then you're reborn. I guess I've lived about ten or fifteen thousand lives now."
I'd have to say I've had a few thousand lives myself using this metric. Hemingway had a good quote too.
Miss February
Nice. That's Miss February from Lockheed Martin's 2012 Calendar. Questions is, Are We Going To Need It Or Can We Even Afford It? I know many are buying into the UAV craze but in light of the recent loss of one in Iran, I think it's gonna be awhile before we can really rely on them to take over piloted fighter roles. Also, what happens with the F-35 will affect how we approach a Gen 6 fighter. Then there is the question of politics and economics and it gets real murky on what the future will hold for manned, high-tech aviation.

Flying Sharks
Heh. Sometimes pilots see some weird shiite. Airline Pilot Startled By Flying Shark. At least it wasn't a blow up doll. Of course then he probably would've reported that his co-pilot was flying outside or something.
U.S. scientists have discovered a fly parasite that turns honey bees into confused zombies before killing them, possibly offering new clues to why bee colonies are collapsing.
So far, the parasite has only been detected in honey bees in California and South Dakota, American researchers reported in the open access science journal PLoS ONE this week.
For Sale
Wow. People will sell anything online. Here's A Woman Who Is Selling Her Fart In A Jar. Serious. Too bad the actual eBay link has been discontinued. I wonder how much she was charging for that shiite.
America's Future
My God. The stoopid is strong in this one.
