Hey, I Guess It Was Kind of a Coincidence That Nancy Pelosi Blocked Credit Card Reform Bills While Sitting On A Shit-Ton of Valuable Visa IPO Stock, Huh?
You'd think Nancy Pelosi would support any sort of "sock the credit card companies" legislation, right?
Well, she did grandstand about it.
On the other hand, she never scheduled votes on it, at least not when her Visa stocks were zooming in price.
Ultimately, all of the gains from the stock already captured, she did support a weaksauce version of the bill.
Coincidence, I'm sure.
This isn't my personal judgment on whether these bills were worthy. I do know that Nancy Pelosi supports them reflexively... unless she's somehow (how?) managed to get Visa to offer her millions of dollars' worth of IPO shares.
