SNL Rips Rick Perry, and a Cat Video That's Actually Really Funny (Update: It's Old, Of Course)
I didn't see the most recent debate. I have to watch the replay-- I hear Rick Perry did pretty well. (Right?)
SNL's parody of Perry's brainfart moment is, as usual, only barely worth watching.
But the Cat video -- a cat who thinks it's a Weeping Angel monster from Doctor Who. Now that's funny. (Darnit: I'm told this video is old, and just repackaged. It used to be called Ninja Cat.)
If you don't know who the Weeping Angels are, they're "quantum-locked" aliens that can only move when you're not looking at them. When you look at them, they turn to stone, immobile. It may sound dumb -- I guess it does sound dumb -- but it's one of the best Doctor Who episodes ever, and one I've suggested that newcomers watch as their first episode.
