Senator Grassley: Yes, I Suspect Fast & Furious Was About Ginning Up Support for Gun Control Laws, But I Can't Prove It

Grassley said he does not know definitively if there was a political motivation, but he suspects there was:
“My suspicion is they don’t like the Second Amendment the way it is, and they are going to do everything to hurt guns and restrict guns. So they could have been building a case for that. But I can’t prove that.”

I doubt he'll be able to prove that, given that specific motive is hard to prove anyway, and this is the sort of thing that won't be mentioned much in documentary evidence.

And if it is, that evidence will be destroyed.

So far we've seen one mention of a this sort of thinking.
