Oh Dear: American Crossroads Pounces On Obama's "Shovel Ready" Gaffe

The good news is those ads are effective.

The bad news is those ads are effective because they're accurate, and we are in for it.

The excellent Suitably Flip has a prediction you don't want to come true:

Core is up 1.5% year-over-year, which is still awfully low. Headline inflation was up 3.6% from a year ago. You’ll be hearing about stagflation this morning, probably, whether real or not.

The argument I always get is "ego." To which I rebut: "Ego."

Oh, and still more. Walter Russell Meade now says the second term of Jimmy Carter is a best-case scenario.

The actual employment rate -- the fraction of working individuals compared to the whole of the population -- remains stuck at an abnormal low.

Oh, and the stock market might dive again, too.

I know it had lost 1% today. I think they mean more than that.
