BREAKING: Trump Not Running For President

First Huck, now Trump passes on a run. Kind of sad when the best news for a party's presidential field is when people don't run.

Oh well. Small favors and all.

After considerable deliberation and reflection, I have decided not to pursue the office of the Presidency. This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election. I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector.

His poling collapsed after Obama released his birth certificate but I think he didn't like the taste of politics he got. From getting smacked around at the White House Correspondents Association and the reaction to some of his speeches, I think he found politics wasn't a world he could simply bully around.

I honestly thought if he ran he'd wind up doing it as an independent like Ross Perot. Since that would only have helped Obama, I'm glad he's sticking to real estate and TV.
