There Is No "I" In Quit: Hurdler Decides Hurdling Is For Gays
Just a funny video of someone, as Monty Python said, who doesn't know when he's beaten, and also doesn't know when he's winning-- he has no functioning sensory aparatus whatsoever.
Oh, and JibJab did one of their end-of-year reviews, this time with muppets.
Obama got no credit for ending the war? A serious man should never argue with a puppet*, but come on, people know damn well that it was Bush and the military who executed his surge (plus the not-coincidental Anbar Awakening) that really ended the war. Obama merely formalized a situation created by his predecessor.
* I can't find the clip, there was a precious moment on MSNBC in the run-up to the 2004 election. Liberal-turned-conservative-firebrand Ron Silver (RIP) was part of a political round-table, which included Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog (a puppet acted by funny liberal Rob Smigel). Triumph was mostly there to make silly poop jokes, but as the night wore on, Smigel began making his serious arguments about the war, through the puppet. Ron Silver began arguing with the puppet -- even turning to face him -- and the two had a typical but energetic liberal-conservative argument.
Whoever the host was -- damn, it might have been Ron Regan Jr., if you can remember back when he was on TV -- turned to Silver and asked, "Are you really arguing with the puppet?" Silver erupted in embarrassed laughter.
