For the Children: Chris Christie Calls Out Bureaucrat For Evading Caps on Government Salaries
Steve Gutowski at Eyeblast worries if Christie is going to be perceived as a bully for calling out a bureaucrat by name. (He decides ultimately Christie won't be hurt by doing so in this particular case.)
That's a real worry. I guess the problem comes in if Christie seems to be enjoying calling people out like this, enjoying playing to the camera, enjoying the applause.
Something to watch for.
And yet... issues need to be personalized, too.
Someone will have to explain to me why every plan to improve the education of our kids involves one primary element: Paying teachers and administrators more money to do the jobs they weren't doing all that well to begin with.
Are they holding back on us? Do they have some sick teaching skillz that they're refusing to utilize until they make $200,000 per year?
