SKIP AHEAD TO THE NEWEST UPDATES UNDER THE FOLD. GOOD NEWS! TWO REPUBLICAN PICKUPS IN THE HOUSE AND THE GOVERNORSHIP LIKELY.
UPDATED AGAIN: MAKE THAT ONE HOUSE PICKUP, CALIGIURI FALLING BEHIND.
FINAL UPDATE: CONNECTICUT IS BONED.
City precincts coming in late, they all want their sugar-frosted unicorns and they want them to be free! YAYYYY!
ALERT: THEY ARE KEEPING POLLS OPEN IN BRIDGEPORT, CT TWO MORE HOURS BECAUSE THEY RAN OUT OF BALLOTS EARLIER (this is a Dem stronghold)
POLLS NOW CLOSED.
UPDATE FROM COMMENTS:
State Republican Chairman Chris Healy is claiming Election Day shenanigans in Bridgeport and is complaining to the Secretary of the State’s office over so-called transfer votes.
Healy said in a phone interview that while both Democratic and Republican registrars have to confirm transfers – when a voter shows up in another polling precinct from where they are registered, claiming they recently moved into the new district – GOP Registrar Joseph Borges has not been consulted. Instead, the Democratic registrar and town clerk have allowed the transfers.
“They haven’t been getting Joe Borges’s signature,” Healy said, adding that it leaves open the possibility of double voting.
“Obviously the Democrats in Bridgeport still won’t follow the voting rules,” Healy said.
Yep. Wonder why they ran out of ballots, eh.
And once again, it comes down to a Dem Secretary of State, who is well known to be a bitter and unscrupulous partisan.
