Nice: GOP Challenger Dino Rossi Takes Lead Over Patty Murray In WA Senate Race
Wicket could not be reached for comment. He was last seen scurry up a tree screaming, "Yub Yub in my bunk bunk".
Republican challenger Dino Rossi has edged slightly ahead of incumbent Democrat Patty Murray in Washington’s U.S. Senate race.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Washington shows Rossi with 49% of the vote, while Murray’s support stands at 46%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and two percent (2%) are undecided. (To see question wording, click here.)
However, the race remains a Toss-Up in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.
A week ago, the candidates were in a virtual tie as they have been through much of the year, with Rossi earning 48% to Murray’s 47%. Still, Murray’s support has fallen from a high earlier last month of 51%, while Rossi's appears to be trending up slightly.
"We've got to ask, why is this man (Osama bin Laden) so popular around the world?...Why are people so supportive of him in many countries . . . that are riddled with poverty?
"He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that.
"How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan?"
Remember, the people of Washington reelected her in 2004 after she said that. This is probably our best chance to get rid of her.
Here's Rossi's website and one of his most recent spots.
