Last Ray of Light: The Hill Thinks Pelosi Is Two Votes Short »
March 21, 2010
Voting Begins
This is just the vote as to whether they should have the vote. Paul Ryan objected to the bill on the grounds it constituted an illegal unfunded mandate. They'l be voting that down now.
Good God, they're going to do it.
Lynch Still Being Lobbied: Lynch is a NYS MA Democrat who flipped from Yes to No this week over the Cadillac tax. Does this mean they don't have the votes? Or they just want to make sure?
He sat on the balcony, just off the floor sporting Ray Bans sunglasses. Clinton told him to support the bill. He said he told her he's still a "no", but thought it wouldn't matter because he's hearing that Democrats are close to securing 216.
I guess we'll know soon.
Voting Goes Forward: 228-195.
Actually, I'm not sure that was the vote to have a vote. It was a vote on Paul Ryan's objection, which was rejected.
