Ahmendinejad: The Nuclear Debate is Over (Again)
Which implies one had even started, but whatever.
Sept. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the debate over Iran’s nuclear program is over, while he is ready to discuss a range of international issues with President Barack Obama.
At his first formal press conference since his June re- election, Ahmadinejad said today he didn’t recognize deadlines for talks on Iran’s nuclear plans and isn’t willing to negotiate on its “undeniable” rights.
President Wonderful has called for direct diplomatic talks on the nuclear question. Angela Merkel appears not to be impressed and is ready for more sanctions.
I can't even imagine that Obama has the bandwidth for this, given his problems at home (and as ace mentioned back in July, Obama needs this "negotiations" charade more than the mullahs do). So I expect Obama will get snippier when pressed on Iran.
Which is the hallmark of a seasoned organizer.
