Judgment Day: What Say the "Conservative" Obama Boosters Who So Praised Obama's Exquisite Judgment? »

T. Coddington Van Vorhees VII is Back
I don't even need to read this before linking it.
When the Editor at Large of the Trust Fund Conservativism magazine The National Topsider once again guest-posts at Iowahawk, I know I'm going to be reading some important stuff about politics. And regattas.
Thanks to several people but most recently CharlesA.
There You Go: I just knew Van Vorhees VII would mention regattas. And he did. Opening sentence:
Another Labor Day weekend wafts into Montauk, borne as always upon a chill wind of melancholy; a breeze that ushers in blithe spirits for the coming gay lawn soirees, the final chukkers of the summer polo leagues, the annual Montauk-to-Newport gin barrel regatta.
I like Van Vorhees III because it's so comforting to know what you'll be reading before you read it. Much like Christopher Buckley.
Who bears no relation at all to Van Vorhees VII.
Correction: It's Van Vorhees the VIIth, not the IIIrd, as I kept writing.
Even better. The longer patrician lineage makes him even more authoritative.
