Overmorning Open Thread and Bleg (genghis)

Pardon the absence of last night’s open thread. Looks like you overnight morons made yourself at home in DrewM’s Perez Hilton post. Thanks for not infesting his Jack Kemp post and ruining the carpet. Anyway, here’s a sandbox to play in until somebody else wakes up and posts something actually interesting.

The May Day protests last Friday were quite the flop, but as always with these things you can find something to really piss you off (so don’t visit the link if you were planning on having a relaxing Sunday morning which didn’t involve your blood boiling). I found this at Dori Monson’s blog when I woke up this morning. It involves a particular sign held by one of the uberdickheads peaceful and hate-free protesters.

Now for the bleg: “Poconojoe” sent in a powerpoint presentation regarding Paul Allen’s megayacht “The Octopus.” Anyone know how to convert this from a PPS file format into something that can actually be posted here? I suppose that means creating a new web page which can be linked to since we can’t really just post files themselves. Would anyone like to volunteer to do this? No huge hurry, just something really cool to look at on a Sunday morning. If you’d like to take a crack at it, please send me an e-mail in the tips address below and I’ll send you the file. Thanks.
