As much as I'm unhappy about this whole AIG affair, the US congress behaving essentially like a bunch of gangsters is rather disturbing. Then of course there's the whole constitutional prohibition on congress and the states passing ex-post facto laws. I rather doubt rep Rangel has ever read the US Constitution though.
