Hockey And Overnight/Open Thread

In my ongoing quest to get you people to appreciate hockey, I offer you two videos below the fold.

Please also consider this your overnight thread.

First, understand fighting is not necessarily my favorite part of hockey. Actually, it's far from it. I prefer a lot of skilled play, with good hard hitting. Sometimes however, well sometimes, you have to drop the gloves and go.

As you'll see from this first clip, tonight's Ranger's-Capital game had some great physical play. It also had a strange fight. Most professional hockey players don't hit like 8 year old girls. Alexander Semin however, well let's just say fighting isn't his forte.

It's never good when the announcers are laughing at your fighting "style".

Wade Redden on the other hand, he knows how to throw a punch.

Yeah, my Rangers lost but it was fun game.

Oh, the Winter Classic in Chicago on New Year's Day? Big ratings (relatively speaking).
