NHL Winter Classic...Finally Something Good From Chicago
In its continuing desperate attempt for attention, the NHL has actually hit on something cool...an annual New Year's Day game outside. Last year it was in the snow and ice in Buffalo. This year they've put a rink in Wrigley Field for a game between two Original Six teams...The Chicago Blackhawks and The Detroit Red Wings on NBC.
Below, how you turn a baseball stadium into a hockey rink.
It's too bad they couldn't make the original plan work, a game at the old Yankee Stadium featuring the Rangers v. well any number of teams...the Devils, Islanders, Flyers or any of the other Original Six. That would have been very cool.
