Dick Turbin calls for special election saying any Blago appointment would not be "credible"
Cutting him loose, covering his ass, putting some distance.
"The General Assembly should enact a law as quickly as possible calling for a special election to fill the Senate vacancy of Barack Obama. No appointment by this governor could produce a credible replacement,"
I'm betting this "special" election would be "special" in that it wouldn't have any republican candidates who might act as a
distraction...
