Huffington Post Writer Stabs Ex-Lover 220 Times, Commits Suicide
No time for snark, but seems to be a case of Bush Derangement Syndrome heightening other problems. Or, perhaps, Bush Derangement Syndrome as a symptom/outlet for a deeper problem.
Hatred gives people focus and meaning.
Burger, upset at the disintegration of her relationship and disgusted with the U.S. during the past several years, sometimes talked of moving to Panama or Mexico to start again.
...
But when the Web site The Huffington Post tapped Burger to cover the election from Florida this month, the job seemed to give her renewed focus. Burger burned to write a story for the site's front page and poured herself into the work, Gale said.
I can't say anything about this woman.
I can however note the sort of temperament attracted to the Huffington Post.
Is that unfair?
Well, yet another HuffPoster has spun a paranoid fantasia about a coming right-wing coup, which of course is being eaten up by the insane HuffPo readership, so you tell me.
Something that disgusted me at the time, and still does, was Dennis Kucinich's cynical proposal of a federal ban against the government's funding of and use of voice to skull technology, or "V2K," which is a common delusion among schizophrenics.
In order to pander money out of these deluded souls, he proposed a bill that gave them the idea that their delusions of voices beamed into the head by Men in Black were real. Because, hey, if a Congressmen is actually proposing a bill, hey, it must be real!
He reinforced the sad delusions of schizophrenics.
Just. To Pander. Money. From the mentally ill.
Huffington Post does the same crap.
"Unclear:" The Huffington Post seems to have, as usual, secret information unknown to the unilluminated sheeple.
The circumstances of her death remain unclear; police believe she may have taken her own life after learning that her roommate - and former partner - had been found dead.
By the way, the Huffington Post will react in horror that Burger isn't being given proper respect by the right blogosphere.
Well, here's the skinny on that: While obviously mentally ill, her last act before suicide was to commit murder.
So, yeah, sorry you lost a writer and all, but I'm afraid we really can't be as respectful as we might like about a murderer.
Sad, yes. Tragic, even. But do spare me, Huffington Post, your righteous indignation about not giving a murderer a respectful send-off.
Thanks to WillA for that.
