Flashback: "Allies of Palestinians See a Friend in Obama" »
October 29, 2008
Priorities: Obama Voted Against Subprime Reform and Wrote a Weakly-Worded Letter After the Bubble Burst;
But: He Personally Took a Strong Role in Making Sure the Habeas "Rights" of Terrorists Were Protected
Compare and contrast.
The weak letter about the subprime catastrophe he had created.
But he didn't feel a mere letter was enough when it came to a cause he was passionate about:
Obama made the enemy combatants' defense his personal cause, the lawyers said: "Senator Obama worked with us to count the votes, and he personally lobbied colleagues who worried about the political ramifications of voting to preserve habeas corpus for the men held at Guantanamo."
I realize this post is racist, somehow, by the way. No need to tell me so.
