"HOPE SOMEONE OFFS her"
Left in a comment about Palin. IP 75.173.252.156.
Question for Joe Biden and the media:
Do you think perhaps your own "dangerous incitements" are dangerous incitements?
Or is the media and the Obama campaign collectively hoping their hate campaign will result in someone taking a shot at the Governor?
This reignites an old anger: The media was constantly exposing "hate on the right" and the threat this posed to President Clinton.
Then, for eight long years, they forgot entirely about "hate" and how it might threaten the life of a President -- because it was coming from the left, and it was merely threatening President Bush's life, which they considered a glass-is-half-full sort of situation.
Even when Democratic party officials themselves indulged in murder fantasies -- a Florida Democratic chapter suggesting that Rumsfeld be executed, for example -- they took no notice. Boys will be boys.
Well, here we are, and the media thinks it has this one won again. And now it's all interested in political hatred again. Suddenly, as Ari Fleisher cautioned, we must all "watch what we say."
But only as regards Obama.
Psychotics can post death threats and murder fantasies at will about Palin or McCain, though.
And of course Bush.
Because "hate" is only dangerous if it threatens someone who the media has decided deserves to live.
I have a stupid black-and-white position on political hatred and especially incitements to political murder: I think they're always wrong, no matter who the perpetrator, no matter what the party affiliation of the would-be target.
But of course the media has a more nuanced position on this, as usual, don't they?
Exactly-- InciteMarsh says:
You know, it's funny, because my lefty friend floated the theory to me today that because McCain and Palin didn't immediately slap down the nutballs at their rallies who shouted "Kill him!" or "Traitor!" or "I love male butt!" or whatever, they were tacitly encouraging them.
It's only a problem when the right-wingers do it.
Yes, today's Narrative was all about McCain and Palin endangering Obama's life by criticizing his record.
The left has called George Bush a murderer who ought to be executed for war crimes for eight years. At no point during these festivities did such rhetoric become dangerous?
Or is it just that the leftist media wouldn't mind someone killing Bush?
Please explain to me the nuance of your position, MSM cocksuckers.
