Movie Stuff: Cthulhu, Joss Wheedon and Nathan Fillion's Blog Movie, and Zork
First up, a low-budget independent Cthulhu movie. Looks decent. The film, though, is only being screened in select cities, and only for a weekend or so before moving on to the next one. And it also co-stars Tori Spelling, which just goes to show the sort of passion the filmmakers had to get this financed.
Next. During the writer's strike, Joss Wheedon wanted to write something, so he wrote and then directed Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog. With Doogie Howser and Captain Mal playing supervillain and superhero in a musical.
Is it good? Um. Well, it's free. How about that.
Finally, Zork will come to movie screens in 2009 as a text-only feature -- that's right, just green text on a black screen -- read aloud by actor Morgan Freeman. Staying true to the game's "spirit."
