Feds: John Conyers' Wife May Have Taken Kickbacks for City Contract

I just can't believe this is true. She seems like such a noble-minded, selfless woman.

Conyers, the spouse of U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Detroit, has been absent from City Council meetings since news of the scandal broke June 28. She declined comment Friday.
"I'm not feeling well right now," she said in a brief telephone interview. "When I get back to work, I'll get back to work."

Fittingly enough, the corruptly-awarded contract involved hauling sewage and shit away. Here's hoping the contract achieves that effect, albeit not as originally intended.

Last time we saw her, she was bitching at eighth graders for daring to criticize her for calling a fellow bald councilman "Shreck."

I'd really like to see that little girl put on the story to interview Monica Conyers further. "Taking bribes in connection with city contracts is something a second-grader would do."
