McCain's Speech on Foreign Policy/Open Thread
I'm going to see if I can track down a copy of the written speech because it's pretty damn good. So far he's simply talked about how awful war is -- and damn eloquently, I have to say.
In political terms, it's hard to peg McCain as a "warmonger" given his personal experience with war, and the serious, adult noting of the horrors of it.
In related news, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton once read a bumper sticker reading, "War is dangerous for people and trees and other living things."
Ugh. Ending "torture" of terrorists. Closing Guantanamo. Risks of global warming have no borders.
Sometimes McCain almost lets me forget what a preening buffoon he is.
