Just Got An Email From Hillary Clinton [ace]: It reads, in full:

You're welcome.

You know, it's just like "they" "always" say: "If it's too dangerous for the President, send the First Lady." And her teenaged daughter, too, presumably.

This probably belongs in the Hillary thread below, but seriously: How the hell did we let that pass for a year? "They" "always" say "If it's too dangerous for the President, send the First Lady"?

What? Huh? Who said this, exactly?

I think Bill and Hillary came up with this on one of the four nights they spend together per year (probably for tax purposes) and were sitting there giggling their faces off over the line. "Oh that's great baby, the public will eat that up! It's got that... ring of borderline plausibility we're always aiming for!"

Good Lord.
