King Herod's Stone Quarry Discovered
The site he mined to provide stone for the Temple expansion in 19B.C., discovered on the site of a proposed school building in a Jerusalem suburb.
They find such cool stuff in old places. In Texas the oldest things we ever discovered were an abandoned dirt mine near Lufkin and the seat lid from an outhouse near the Alamo.
