MIT Co-Ed Picked Up at Logan With Fake Bomb
This kid sounds like a goof, at least from what's been reported so far.
Star Simpson, 19, had a computer circuit board and wiring in plain view over a black hooded sweat shirt she was wearing, said State Police Maj. Scott Pare, the commanding officer at the airport.
They were still naming kids Star in 1988? Who knew?
"She said that it was a piece of art and she wanted to stand out on career day," Pare said at a news conference. "She claims that it was just art, and that she was proud of the art and she wanted to display it."
Hmmmmm... what is the "artistic message" here I wonder? What are you painting on this palette, with playdough and circuit boards?
What's your message sweetie?
Selfishly, I'm glad I flew into Logan last Friday and not today. Sheesh.
Actually, now that I've heard some more accounts, it sounds as though authorities got it under control pretty quickly, and by the time I had landed I wouldn't have noticed a thing.
UPDATE: I am a moron, and forgot the link.
