Random Post: Gary Oldman On James Gordon Character From Batman
As I know Oldman is a site favorite, as is Batman, I figured I wouldn't waste my fruitless search for the "Elvis" speech asking Can you live with it? from True Romance. I looked for the Can you live with it? clip for the Giuliani post but came up empty. But I stumbled upon this.
Oldman forgets one rather important virtue of Gordon's in ticking them down: he's got incredible courage. Arguably more so than Bruce Wayne, because Bruce Wayne is a self-made superhero, and Gordon is just an average guy (well, not quite average) who could be shot down on the street at any time.
Maybe Oldman didn't read Batman: Year One. He should.
Is it too much to hope for that he plays Joker Smilex Victim Number Three? Fingers crossed!
In quasi-news, this trailer may or may not be fake -- a lot of Batman teasers and trailers are fan-made -- but it does show the make-up design for the Joker. And nothing else.
Note the interesting and gruesome way they've chosen to depict his permanent smile. (I've seen similar pictures and know the basic design is real.)
