Haditha Update: Charges Dropped Against Randy Stone, Too

As charges were already dropped against one of the Haditha Eight, there are five Marines against whom charges were still pending.

While it is quite possible these remaining five Marines engaged in criminal conduct, I have to imagine that they were all pretty much in the same situation with the same limited information and the same basic intent, so it looks very possible, if not likely, that charges will be dropped against all of them.

But I don't know. I never really did follow the facts of this case very closely.

Which puts me in the same company as "Abscam Jack" Murtha. But, in my defense, despite my limited knowledge here, I was able to restrain myself from accusing Marines of executing people in acts of "cold-blooded murder."
