That reality, of course, being the innoncence of the Duke 3 and the criminality of the Durham 2 (Goldstein link, click to your heart's content).

I know it's been Duke central here the past few days. Forgive me, but I've been waiting for the "feminists" to break their studious silence and begin saying some truly stupid things. Here we go:

The charges were dropped. Does this mean that they are innocent?

Um, yeah. Like the AG said so 'n stuff. He didn't merely drop the charges. He exonerated them fully. Surprised she didn't hear about that. It was sorta big news.

None of us actually know what happened that night. Sorry, unless you were there, you don’t know what happened.

The other stripper was there and says no rape happened. So does every other person there, except the accused.

Now for the rest of you that have such a die hard belief in the criminal justice system and evidence, well quite frankly I pity you.

This stupid bint seemed to have quite a bit of "die hard belief in the criminal justice system and evidence" when pandering, corrupt liberal Mike Nifong was in charge of the process.

Now, not so much.

She kind of gives the game away with that sneering mention of "evidence" as if it's just another tool of the patriarchy designed to oppress her.

Which, frankly, it is. Logic, evidence, reason -- all tools of the patriarchy rejected by stupid vag-clowns like this. Gets in the way of their ovarian emoting.

This is a system that arrests a disproportionate number of people of color...

In unrelated news, people of color commit a disproportionate number of crimes.

Resembles slavery? In what way? The deprivation of freedom and the condemnation to second (or worse) class citizenship during the period of incarceration?

I just looked that up. That's called "prison." What sort of prison system would not deprive prisoners of freedom? An open prison, where you show up if you like, leave if you feel like it, and if a guard tells you to lay off raping the new fish, you're allowed to say, "I'm sorry, but my dignity requires me to refuse your request"?

SORRY, I don’t trust the courts. When you’re a woman of color who’s a sexworker, up against white kids with money that can afford *good* lawyers, the outcome is not looking so good.

Does she even grasp that one of them was in another part of town during the alleged "rape"?

Good Lord, that guy must be well-hung.

They were not found to be innocent, the charges were dropped from lack of evidence.

Again: Simply wrong.

Now comes a curious part:

Moreover, innocent until proven guilty only applies to certain people. Ideally, it would apply to everyone but *a lot* of people are guilty at arrest, just for being who they are and where they are. We are not operating in a vacuum, but within a long history of corruption and injustice in the supposed justice system. So, if these guys were in fact falsely accused, they got a taste of how black men are treated EVERY DAY by the criminal justice system.

She seems to concede there these guys were innocent, just like all those po' black criminals she's claiming are innocent. And her conclusion? It's a good thing they "got a taste" of how an innocent black man is treated by the justice system, that is, as guilty.

Pretty much comes right out and says it: I don't care if they were guilty or not. In fact, it's even better if they are innocent, because then they've learned what it's like for black people.

Disgusting.

I expect Amanda Marcotte will manage to top this, if she ever gets around to acknowleging the rather major story at all.

Can't wait for the AG's report on the innocence of the Duke 3 and the guilt of the Durham 2. Should be fun.

Via Hot Air, also reporting the claim that the Rutgers 11 are more aggreived than the Duke 3, because the Rutgers 11 are getting ... hate mail.

Which, of course, the Duke 3 didn't also get. They also got something slightly worse: A bill of indictment for rape and the condemnation of their "rape" by every MSM source in the country, as well as their own university.

Those Rutgers chicks... how do they manage to soldier on?

The girl here clearly has no idea of the basic facts of the case. She misstates basic things (like claiming repeatedly this is merely a case of a prosecution being dropped for insufficient evidence -- as if that, itself, would be some sort of technicality) -- and never addresses any actual facts here, except that the stripper is black, etc.

Easy stuff like that.

But she gives herself permission to be so colossally ignorant and yet so very passionate:

Why do I say all this? Because the details of the ACTUAL case are only tangentially relevant here.

The "details" (pesky little trivialities" of the "ACTUAL case" (in other words, the instant case, something she's distinguishing from the "general case" of white male oppression) are "only tangentially relevant here."

Only tangentially relevant.

Doesn't much matter what the "facts" or "evidence" are. There's a bigger "Truth" out there that must be vindicated.

What a fucking moron. What a nasty, ignorant-and-proud, vicious little bridge-troll this one is.

Hey, Toots? Reason there's sexism and racism in society? Self-appointed speakers for their race and sex like you embarrassing the rest of them.
