Giuliani's Law Firm Lobbied For Chavez's CITGO
In fairness, he joined the Houston firm two years ago, almost certainly after CITGO had long been a client.
Still. Not cool.
No Big Deal? So most commenters seem to think. I don't think it's a big deal either. I suppose he could have turned down the partnership -- in which case the firm would still have CITGO as a client -- or made his joining of the firm contingent upon them dropping CITGO as a client, which is, well, probably a futile gesture.
Having pushed Giuliani so much I feel obligated to put out stuff on him like this, though, otherwise people will call me a shill. Which I'm not, really; I support the guy, I'm not in love with him.
