Claim: Defected Iranian General Talking With US Officials About 1983 Beirut Marine Barracks Bombing

Utter rubbish!

The bombing was in Lebanon, carried out by indigenous resistance movement Hizb'allah!

What on God's green earth could an Iranian general possibly know of such a thing?

PS, I question the timing. I suppose it's just a "coincidence" that an "Iranian" "general" "defects" into "United States" custody just as "President" Bush is gearing up for "war" with Iran.

Oh, wait, I didn't mean to put quotes around the word "war." Guess it just kind of got away from me at the end there.
