Steven Wright Charged In Ipswich Strangler Case

Wright declared he was innocent of the charges, and that, furthermore, he wanted to know if you were travelling at the speed of light and turned on the lights, would anything happen?

The first man arrested, Ted Stephens -- the guy with the creepy photo of eyes painted on his eyelids -- isn't even mentioned here. I suppose that means he's innocent of everything except having sex with a lot of prostitutes, which isn't even a crime.

Well, it shouldn't be a crime, anyway.

he Crown Prosecution Service's senior prosecutor Michael Crimp said a team of CPS lawyers had been in close contact with detectives since the arrests were made earlier this week.

"As this case has developed, we have been carefully examining and assessing the evidence," he said.

"This evening we have made the decision that there is sufficient evidence and authorised that Steven Wright... should be charged with murder."

He reminded journalists about the need for care in reporting events surrounding the case, adding: "Steven Wright stands accused of these offences and has a right to a fair trial."

He does look like a serial killer. But I always say that. So I guess I have to say that 90% of the population looks like a serial killer, or at least a programming language inventor.
