PayPal Bleg: Anyone Know How To Get All PayPal Notifications Sent to My Primary Address?
I'm working on a pretty good, I think, piece on the left's antisemitism.
But a bleg.
While I have switched my primary PayPal to gmail, all of my donation-notifications still stubbornly go to my crappy yahoo account. How does one get those notifications to come to the gmail address that is my go-to mail account?
PayPal is linked to my yahooo address; but how do I tell it, "No, I mean it, send ALL notifications, especially donations, to my gmail address?"
It seems to not want to listen to me.
Other Bleg Solved! My old request:
I get a lot of spam from certain people. Not actual spam. It's an attempt to get me to post about their pet issues. I get stuff from them day in, day out, and apparently they haven't yet noticed I've never linked them once.
Gmail offers me the option of "report spam," but this isn't technically spam. It's just crap I no longer want cluttering up my inbox. I have never before read something from these daily "read me" idiots and I am reasonably confident I never will. I want my gmail box saved for real tips from real people who are not merely emailing every frigging blogger in the known universe.
So: Can I somehow get gmail to forever dump these emails into spam without actually "reporting" them as spam?
Yes, I realize I could ask them to stop sending me stuff. I doubt they'd bother, because they just email everybody, and I don't think they pay much attention at all to exactly who's on that mass email list.
...
I have been informed about the magic of email filters, and am now busily adding five or six serial spam offenders to the "automatically delete" list.
Let it be known: You cannot send three or four unsolicted emails per day about a topic a blogger doesn't particularly care about and expect him to ever, EVER read a single email you send.
It's called "selectivity." Look into it.
I'm guessing that many right-leaning bloggers know the folks I'm talking about.
One of these guys seems to send the same crap from multiple addresses, as similar emails always come from two different addresses simultaneously.
Bye, bye. I'm sure if you actually tip something interesting I'll eventually read about it on the six thousand other blogs you're spamming every day.
