Is This Too Juvenile?

Okay, Barbra Streisand definitely does not look movie-star fabulous here.

Is this surprising? And is it a low-blow to publicize a bad picture of the woman just because she's a blithering idiot who believes Thomas Jefferson wrote extensively about Adnan Chalabi?

And-- more importantly -- why the eff am I linking a freaking CELEBRITY GOSSIP BLOG, when these sonsabitches are MAKING ALL THE FREAKING CRAZY BLOG MONEY AS IT IS?

Has anyone kept up with this? If you're not a blogger, you probably haven't. But the top of the blog heap is now positively dominated by celebrity gossip blogs, and they're multiplying like crazy. You can go from zero traffic to to 50,000 hits a day in just a few months if you're running a decent gossip blog. And soon after that -- 500,000 hits a day or more.

I really, really wish I was interested enough into celebrities enough to start my own. But I'm not. I pitched starting one to gay conservative blogger Dorian Davis some time ago, but nothing came of it. I figured he was gay, he's affably extroverted and doesn't mind talking to, you know, people (ugggccchhh... people. Don't get me started), he had been on MTV, he had some low-level celebrity connections.

So I figured he could do all the actual gossip-collecting, and I could just sit back and cash the crazy blog-money checks. Maybe add the occasional witty bon mot (e.g., "pooter"), at least when I was feeling ambitious.

For some reason he didn't seem especially gung-ho about my business model.

Anyway, another time I saw the future, and yet, out of inertia and laziness, decided not to act upon my foreknowlege. I'm like a psychic moron or something.
