CNN Poll: Very Favorable Reaction To Bush's Speech

I'm not sure that's a good thing, though.

They always say these polls have to be viewed suspiciously, as its mostly the President's supporters who are watching, and of course they're inclined to give him a favorable reaction.

In this case, however, some of Bush's strongest opponents have been his supporters (or ex-supporters). So maybe he changed some minds.

Again, I'm not sure that's a good thing. I thought the speech was, for once, very effective, but when I say that, I mean it was quite effective at selling something that shouldn't be bought.
