Highest Paid Actor In Hollywood History? Chris Tucker

That damned Hollywood racism at work again:

New Line has agreed to pay Chris Tucker $25 million to appear in Rush Hour 3, making him the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, according to FoxNews.com's Roger Friedman. Friedman commented that the figure is all the more remarkable considering the fact that Tucker has starred in only two other films -- both of them the Rush Hour movies.

Christ Tucker. Rush Hour 3. $25 million.

I'll just let that sink in for a minute before I rush to the sink to slash my wrists.

I don't even remember the other two Rush Hours. They were, if I remember, inoffensive, forgettable, uninspired, and not awful. That was the best thing about them -- they were not awful. Nowhere near good, but also not horrible.

$25 million to make another sequel, to have some more of that Jackie Chan-Chris Tucker magic. One guy with a high-pitched cartoon voice you can't understand, and another guy who barely speaks English at all.

We can expect beheadings and embassy-burnings any moment now, and of course the refusal of the mainstream media to display any stills or footage from the movie, as their new priority of showing respect for religion dictates.
