Activists Seek to Evict Souter From Home.
Huh. Didn't know these guys were still pursuing this. Tilting at windmills, of course, but the press coverage still helps to make their point: eminent domain in 21st Century America sucks.
CONCORD, N.H. - Angered by a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that sided with a Connecticut city that wanted to seize homes for economic development, a group of activists is trying to get one of the justices who voted for the decision evicted from his own home.
The group, led by a California man, wants Justice
David Souter's home seized for the purpose of building an inn called "Lost Liberty Hotel."
Ya know, I still think they're going about this the wrong way. Hotel? How bland. I'd go instead for a bar, strip club, or a Fry's Electronics.
Because, let's be honest: nobody likes David Souter, but EVERYBODY loves Fry's.
