Blogger "Symposium" at Right Wing News
Frank from IMAO, Michele from ASV, Bill from INDC, and (ahem) lowly I all kibbitzed for an hour at John Hawkins' Right Wing News site. Oh yeah, he was "moderating," I guess you'd call it, although it was pretty unmoderated.
It was kind of like an AOL chat room with one woman and a dozen 16 year old boys, all of us trying to get out our best internet pick up lines. ("Baby, you so fine, your daddy must have had a shrouded T3 connection to download all that fine pixelation into your ass. You're l33t, sweets.")
Since I didn't have any good lines, I just kept to the background mostly, hoping the chick would notice the very interesting Morissey quote in my sigline.
And, to be fair, I guess it didn't help when I began asking people if they wanted to cyber.
The edited version looks sort of like something you can actually follow, though.
I made the admission that I've softened on Wonkette. I still don't think she's funny, but I do think that her daily news round-up is useful. Or it would be, if I read her site, which I almost always don't.
I didn't slip the f-word or even the douchebaggery-word past Hawkins. Damnit, that was half of my schtick.
Thanks big to Allah for suggesting me to Hawkins for this thing.
Unbelievable Oversight: Damnit, I wasn't prepared for the "which female bloggers do you read question," and I stupidly forgot to mention the wonderful Florida Cracker, who's not only a great blogger, but who's been a big cross-pollinator with this site since way back. Wayyyy back.
Way back, like to March.
I'm sorry, Florida. A mention on RWN would have been good for some exposure but I just completely brain-froze on it.
Update: John was kind enough to parenthetically correct my inconsiderate oversight. Thanks, man.
