The Morning Report — 5/ 19/26

Good morning kids. So two teenagers went on a deadly shooting spree at a San Diego mosque yesterday. Here's what's known so far:

"Outside the center were three adult men dead from gunshot wounds, according to San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl, who spoke to the media after the shooting."

The alleged gunmen in a shooting rampage that left three people dead outside a San Diego mosque have been identified as 17-year-old Cain Clark and 18-year-old Caleb Velasquez, according to a law enforcement source.

At least one of the suspects took a weapon from their parents’ home and left a suicide note that talked about racial pride, a law enforcement source told The Post.

Clark attended Madison High School and was a standout wrestler, according to the school’s social media page. His grandfather, David Clark, 78, said: ”We’re very sorry for what happened. We know as much as you do. It’s a shock.” Clark and Velasquez were found dead inside a BMW from self-inflicted gunshot wounds only a few blocks from the Islamic Center of San Diego.

Anti-Islamic writings were found in the suspects’ vehicle and “hate speech” was written on the firearms used in the shooting, according to the source.

Let me state in no uncertain terms that this is absolutely horrendous to anyone who believes in and desires to live in a civilized society. Speaking of which, my personal feelings and opinions about Islam are no secret to anyone who has read my columns and listened to me speak on the podcast over these past few years and for sure as an American, a Jew and as one who is a student of history. Islam was, is, and a highly unlikely reformation of its core tenets regarding those whom it considers infidels and subhuman, notwithstanding, always will be a violent tyrannical totalitarian death cult that will seek the conquest of humanity and the world, as it has done for nearly 1500 years.

Does that mean I advocate or implore anyone who reads and hears my words to go out and do what these two maniacs did, absolutely no. But to be a follower of Islam is to go out and commit the most abhorrent acts of violence or at the very least to cheer on those who do, as we saw on the rooftops of Jersey City as the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center collapsed into flaming heaps and in Israel in the wake of the October 7 mass wave assault from Gaza. Those being but two examples of the oceans of blood and tears spilled in the name of advancing Islam.

The question of course is how to prevent these things from happening in the first place. Since Islam is not compatible and indeed completely antithetical to civilized society, further immigration to the west of Muslims should cease, and any attempts to impose Sharia law or to establish Islamic jurisdictions/political boundaries/communities et al as is being attempted in Texas among other places must be resisted by every LEGAL means necessary.

Of course the Democrat/Left will interpret/bastardize my words, which echo individuals such as Robert Spencer, Pam Geller and others into "Go out and shoot up mosques or hunt down Muslims!"

Shoot up a synagogue, a church, a Christmas parade and get a pat on the back.

And on a not entirely unrelated note, there's this:

A trio of bloodthirsty fans of accused assassin Luigi Mangione — who were granted press passes by City Hall — spouted vile hate and unapologetic calls for political violence from a Manhattan courthouse steps Monday. Self-proclaimed “Mangionistas” Abril Rios, Ashley Rojas and Lena Weissbrot proudly showed off the passes they received from Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration, apparently for their online content documenting Mangione’s upcoming trial for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. But the credentialed “reporters” chillingly made no bones about supporting Mangione’s alleged vendetta to strike fear into the hearts of healthcare executives such as Thompson.
