In a move that mimics parody, White House "interns" have released an open letter slamming the current president. According to NBC News, which viewed the letter, the "more than 40 interns" accused Joe Biden of ignoring their pleas for a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza.

Further, the letter proclaims that the interns will "no longer remain silent on the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people." Of note is that there is no genocide occurring of the Palestinian people.

A group of White House interns joined the growing list of administration officials applying internal pressure to President Joe Biden to call for a permanent cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, sending him a letter late Tuesday that accuses him of having "ignored" the "pleas of the American people."

The letter, first shared with NBC News and addressed to Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, is supported by more than 40 interns who work in the White House and other executive branch offices, according to the text.

"We, the undersigned Fall 2023 White House and Executive Office of the President interns, will no longer remain silent on the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people," the interns wrote.

An Israeli survivor of the horrific Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis on October 7 is speaking out about the barbaric gang rape and murder of a young woman "with the face of an angel."

Yoni Saadon, 39, a shift manager in a foundry who has four children, was hiding under the stage at the Supernova music festival when Hamas attacked. He said a young woman hiding next to him was shot in the head and fell to the ground next to him.

Despite having been specifically asked about Hamas' rape of Israeli women three times by Dana Bash, Rep. Jayapal claims she wasn't talking about Hamas' rape when she said that coverage of Hamas' rapes must be "balanced."

While Jayapal, who is chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, condemned the rape of Israeli women by Hamas and called it "horrific" on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday, she pointed out that over 15,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza since the start of the war and said, "I think we have to be balanced about bringing in the outrages against Palestinians."

On Tuesday, Jayapal issued a statement that revises her answer in that interview. She repeated that she called the rapes "horrific" but goes on to explain that she wasn't talking about rape when she spoke about balance. Umm.

In her statement Tuesday, Jayapal said her comment "about balance was not about rape, and not intended to minimize rape and sexual assault in any way."

"It was about recognizing the tremendous pain and trauma of so many--Israelis, Palestinians, and their diaspora communities--in this terrible war," Jayapal stated.

The congresswoman continued, "I understand that I have critics who disagree with me on policy, but for them to insinuate that I would think, say or act in any way that equivocates on rape is outrageous and completely inconsistent with my record and life's work. It also deeply hurts the ability to have meaningful conversations about critical issues."

Hamas' use of rape as a tool of war was the only issue she was being asked about, and she was asked about it three times to make sure she understood what she was downplaying:

Is wartime sexual violence a horrific crime? YES, with no mistake. But sex exceptionalism is also traditionally used to whip up support for entire military campaigns -- we see Israel and the U.S. doing this now to justify a prolonged disproportionate air and ground war.

Beege Wellborne explains that by "sex exceptionalism," she means to suggest that sexual assaults aren't any worse than any other kind of assaults, and Israel right now is assaulting poor Palestinian bases and weapons caches, so what's the big diff?
