The Morning Report — 12/29/22

littlenellyebay.jpg

Good morning, kids. Thursday and let's set the Wayback Machine to March of 2020, when the General Tso's Sickness known as Chinese COVID-19, mostly because it came from and was created in a lab in China, was raging and only the first few cases showed up on our shores:

“I always treated the Chinese Virus very seriously, and have done a very good job from the beginning, including my very early decision to close the ‘borders’ from China – against the wishes of almost all,” Trump tweeted on March 18, 2020. “Many lives were saved. The Fake News new narrative is disgraceful & false!”

Biden responded at the time: “Stop the xenophobic fear-mongering. Be honest. Take responsibility. Do your job.”

That pearl necklace of wisdom from Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants makes zero sense (surprise surprise) given the fact that while he and others such as Bill DeBolshevik and Malig-Nancy Pelosi were urging people to go out or dim sum and French kiss any oriental they encountered, what "job" did Biden want Trump to do, given he and his ilk didn't think there was an emergency that needed attending? But I digress.

So, Trump's travel ban was "xenophobic." Well, if that's the case what do you call what the Junta announced yesterday?

The Biden [junta] announced new restrictions on inbound travelers from China Wednesday.

Starting Jan. 5, all travelers from China above the age of 2 will have to show proof of a negative [Chinese] COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of departure, The Associated Press reported. U.S. health officials say the move is aimed at stemming a rebound of [Chinese] COVID-19 cases after China eased its lockdown policies over the past weeks, with cases surging across the country.

“There are mounting concerns in the international community on the ongoing [Chinese] Covid-19 surges in China and the lack of transparent data, including viral genomic sequence data, being reported from the PRC,” officials told CNN earlier Wednesday before the final policy became known, using the acronym for China’s formal name. “Without this data, it is becoming increasingly difficult for public health officials to ensure that they will be able to identify any potential new variants and take prompt measures to reduce the spread.”

To point out yet another example of Democrat-Leftist hypocrisy, as Capt. Willard would say "would be like handing out speeding tickets at the Indianapolis 500." Forget a day ending in "Y." It's a second ending in "tock."

About the only good thing in all of this, and not to discount or make light of the suffering of the Chinese people, this wave of infection which evidently is hitting them pretty hard is because of the insane levels of lockdowns and quarantines that held the entire nation under a de-facto house arrest. As bad as things were over here, at least some level of herd immunity was reached despite the raging incompetence and malfeasance of the Fauci-led CDC which mitigated the death tolls from, not with the Guangdong Gleet. Not so in China. And that coupled with the oppression of Xi and the Chi-Com Politburo has led to massive civil unrest and the concomitant crackdown. Will Xi be overthrown? Odds are long on that outcome, and even if he were to be, he'd be replaced by yet another communist, perhaps not as megalomaniacal as his predecessor, but we're talking degrees here.

Hopping back into the Wayback Machine, let's take a peek at August of 2021, when, in the wake of the "xenophobic" overreaction that managed to oust President Trump in a coup, President Big Guy Tweener-Groper barely eight months in office celebrated a major triumph; i.e. the most disastrous self-inflicted foreign policy debacle in nearly half a century with the intentional bug-out of Afghanistan.

At least 3,000 US soldiers died to prevent the rubble from bouncing and give at least a fig leaf of an illusion of a society attempting to make the leap from the 7th century to perhaps the 15th. Alas, even the fig leaf has been beheaded by the religious police leaving women to be whipped, beaten and forced back under the burqa, as well as billions of dollars of brand new shiny and top secret American hardware left behind. We knew a lot would wind up in the hands of our enemies, but whoever had eBay, come get your winnings!

A U.S. military device used to record and store information on military personnel, Afghanis who worked with the U.S. military, terrorists, and others reportedly turned up on an online auction platform and was sold for $68.

The purchaser is German security researcher Matthias Marx. Marx and his team purchased the device, known as a Secure Electronic Enrollment Kit, or SEEK II, from eBay in August, according to The New York Times.

The researchers had read reports of biometric devices falling into the hands of the Taliban after the U.S. military pulled out of Afghanistan last year. The researchers wanted to study the machines to assess what amount of risk thousands of Afghanis who worked with the U.S. military during its 20-year occupation may face.

In addition to the SEEK II, Marx and his team purchased five other biometric devices from eBay. On one other, they said they found sensitive, identifying information of U.S. servicemen. That device was last used in Jordan in 2013.

“The irresponsible handling of this high-risk technology is unbelievable,” Marx told Times. “It is incomprehensible to us that the manufacturer and former military users do not care that used devices with sensitive data are being hawked online.”

If they cared, Herr Marx, we never would've bugged out in the first place. In any case, it's almost as if the billions in equipment that was just left behind was an in-kind donation to the Taliban and ultimately Moscow, Beijing and every other bad actor and enemy of the United States of America to reverse engineer (maybe the mullahs in Tehran should get an eBay account since you never know what might be up for auction!).

Or in point of fact, the nation formerly known as he United States of America. Our own worst enemy are our alleged fellow citizens – Democrats, Progressives, Leftists – who have a hate on for this nation, its people, culture and history that's deeper, darker, more monomaniacal and rabidly obsessed than any other in history.
