"Doctor" Jill Biden: Joe Biden Had Such Wonderful Plans For the Presidency He Usurped But Darnit, The Actual Task of Governing Keeps Getting In The Way!

Speaking at -- of course! -- a private home of an ultrawealthy supporter on Nantucket Island, Noted Brain Surgeon "Doctor" Jill Biden lamented that the presidency sometimes involves responding to external events and that these may sometimes sideline the partisan and highly ideological agenda of the figurehead president's puppeteers.

[The President] had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment. He's just had so many things thrown his way.

Who would have ever thought about what happened with Roe v. Wade? Well, maybe we saw it coming, but still, we didn't believe it.

Did she just tell us what happened in Afghanistan? "Maybe we saw it coming, but still, we didn't believe it"?

And did she just tell us what happened with the skyrocketing inflation due to their ruinous overspending? "Maybe we saw it coming, but still, we didn't believe it"?

The gun violence in this country is absolutely appalling. We didn't see the war in Ukraine coming.

Joe Biden's campaign was predicated on the threat of Russia.

"Doctor" Jill Biden then turned to the most important issue of all: All the crises of the Biden Administration, most of which are caused by the Biden Administration, also derailed the crucial work of "Doctor" Jill Biden as Vice President.

I was saying to myself, 'Okay, I was Second Lady. I worked on community colleges. I worked on military families. I've worked on cancer.

They were supposed to be my areas of focus. But then when we got [in the White House,] I had to be, with all that was happening, the First Lady of the moment.

She also said this:

"I know there are so many nay-sayers who say we'll get slammed in the midterms. Okay. The Republicans are working hard, they stick together, for good or evil. So, we just have to work harder."

LOL, sticking together. I have it from an Insider Source, the "smartest man" that Joe Biden knows, that "Doctor" Jill Biden is a, quote, "vindictive moron."

John King: We have to give Joe Biden and the Democrats a break. It's hard to govern!

CNN's John King complains, "It is much easier to be the opposition party... give Democrats so some grace. Governing is hard, especially when you have tiny margins."

Tim @TimDCpolitico

Remember when @JohnKingCNN said that governing is hard, COVID-19 was a complex challenge and Donald Trump deserved some grace?

Me neither...

Apparently this is the fresh DNC-Media coordinated message of the week: John Sexton reports that a Washington Post Op-Ed demands that the media start covering Joe Biden more positively, and in fact claims that the bulk of the country's negative feelings towards Biden's management are due to a media plot against him.

Sexton points out that this White House spinner deliberately omits many parts of the Afghanistan debacle in order to paint it as minor a snafu as possible. He completely... "forgets" that 13 US servicemembers were killed due to Biden's bumbles, and also "forgets" that Biden then ordered a Public Relations drone strike that murdered a perfectly innocent family, including young children.

See his post for that.

Biden's poll numbers plunged, closely tracking the media hysteria. As The Post's Dana Milbank wrote in December, data analysis showed a marked increase in negativity in media coverage of Biden that started last August. After the withdrawal, the media lumped other events into its "Biden is struggling" narrative: infighting among Democrats over the party's agenda, Democrats' weak performances in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races, rising inflation, and the surge of the delta and omicron variants. Biden's role in these issues was often exaggerated -- there are many causes of inflation besides Biden's policies; presidents can't stop the emergence of coronavirus variants. This anti-Biden coverage pattern remains in place.

The claim that the media was unfair would be a lot more convincing if candidate Biden hadn't promised he would shut down the virus not the economy. Remember this?

Joe Biden @JoeBiden

United States government official
I'm not going to shut down the country.

I'm not going to shut down the economy.

I'm going to shut down the virus.

I've said a couple of times that there's not much Biden can do about inflation.

I really hate this kneejerk tendency to "prove how fair you are" by conceding things that are untrue. Biden spent trillions in unneeded stimulus. The Democrats' claim is that the reopening of the world economy was inherently inflationary. So that's a cause of inflation.

Okay -- so why take that fire and throw tons of fake hundred dollar bills on it to turn it into a blaze?

I know that progressives and adherents of the "Modern Monetary Theory" don't believe that the cause of supply and demand applies to dollar bills, but don't conservatives?

If so -- if inflation "just happens" -- then why bother fighting over who controls the government in the first place? These things "just happen," after all, and the president and Congress are just spectators.

This sounds like a case of Jill Biden's explanation again: "Maybe we saw it coming, but still, we didn't believe it."

Coronavirus variants aren't under his control either. But after progressives repeated on a daily basis that Trump was responsible for every death it's a bit hard to see this as unfair. Here's another tweet where candidate Biden set a standard he couldn't meet.
Joe Biden @JoeBiden

United States government official
220,000 deaths.

If you hear nothing else I say tonight, hear this: Anyone who is responsible for that many deaths should not remain President of the United States.

We've now had more coronavirus deaths under Biden's watch than under Trump's. Funny the progressives don't seem as interested in reminding people about that on a daily basis anymore. Eventually, even Bacon sort of admits Biden set himself up for failure.

By making reduced political gridlock a metric of his success, Biden positioned himself to look bad when congressional Republicans and Sens. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) blocked his proposals.

He concludes, "Yes, I am calling for the media to cover Biden more positively."

So that is what was agreed to in the meeting between White House officials and "journalists" this week: We have to pressure the rest of the press corps to be nicer to Joe Biden, and to show a little more "grace" towards Democrats, because governing is hard for Democrats.

Not for Republicans, though -- so you can be as tough on them as you like.
