Two California Police Officers Gunned Down Dead After Soros Prosecutor Gascon Lets the Killer -- a Career Gang-Banger -- Skate On a Gun Charge

He was given a "lenient" sentence by Gascon.

He could have been given a very harsh one, and could have been kept off the streets -- he could have been given a "three strikes" sentence for once again being caught, as a felon, with an illegal gun.

But Gascon refuses to prosecute criminals for three-strikes violations.

He has decided He Is The Law, and the law is for the protection of criminals, not their victims.

George Gascon is committed to the leftwing Soros-promoted suicidal idea of "decarceration" -- literally emptying the prisons (and filling the mortuaries).

The career gang criminal was killed in the shootout, but not before killing two cops.

The deceased suspect accused of killing two California police officers during a shootout was a gang member on probation for a weapons charge after receiving a lenient sentence under a plea deal.

Justin William Flores is accused of killing two El Monte police officers Tuesday night.

He had a previous strike conviction ad received two years probation for a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentence is in accordance with the policies of Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon, who was recently taken to task by a state appeals court over his refusal to prosecute three-strike cases.

That allowed Flores to plead no contest and receive a light sentence despite having a strike on his criminal record.

Sources in the district attorney's office told Fox News that if Flores would have been prosecuted in February 2021 under the normal procedure, he would have likely been sentenced to up to three years in prison.

The revelation is likely to direct more criticism at Gascon, who faces a recall over his policies. On Wednesday, the recall campaign said they had collected the number of signatures needed to let voters decide.

The recall effort has just collected enough signatures for force the recall vote:

The group working to recall Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon said it has collected the necessary number of signatures required to put the matter before voters.

The Recall George Gascon campaign told Fox News it received over 30,000 petitions over the past few days in an effort to gather the 567,857 needed by July 6. The group said it hit the target Wednesday but is working toward collecting 650,000 signatures as some will likely be deemed invalid by the Los Angeles County officials.

"Simply clearing the required threshold is not enough -- we must build the necessary cushion for signatures that are inevitably invalidated," a campaign statement said. We are urging every registered voter in Los Angeles County to mail in their petition by no later than June 24 to ensure they arrive on time, or alternatively, drop them off at one of our permanent signing locations by June 30. The only thing that can stop us at this point is complacency."

George Gascon, like other Democrats, blamed the spike in gun murders occurring on his watch on the "lack of sensible gun laws."

But, as Bill Melugin snapped back at him, California has very strict gun laws.

The problem is, California DAs refuse to prosecute criminals for violating these gun laws.

Why? Well, because Democrat voters are disproportionately criminals.

So, because they won't actually prosecute the criminals, they have to shift blame to the gun. And to law-abiding people with non-dangerous guns that never shot anything that wasn't made of paper, glass, tin, or squirrel.

It's not just the Soros DAs, of course -- the state of California just voted to end mandatory reporting for students who threaten to shoot up schools, just days after the Uvalde school shooting!

The California State Senate voted Thursday to end a requirement that students who threaten violence against school officials be reported.

Before the California law was passed, existing law stated that whenever a school official is "attacked, assaulted, or physically threatened by any pupil," staff was "required to promptly report the incident to specified law enforcement authorities." The new bill repealed this requirement.

California passed the law just two days after an 18-year-old gunman opened fire on an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, killing two adults and 19 children.

Why? Again, because Democrat voters' fucked-up drugged-up trans-trending criminal children are likely to be the ones involved in these threats.

And we can't have that.

So, once again, shift the blame from the people actually threatening the schools to the people whose guns are locked in gun vaults and who have no criminal history whatsoever.

You know -- Republicans.

They don't vote for us anyway, right?
