The Morning Report - 4/8/21 [J.J. Sefton]

Good morning kids. Thursday and a couple of things are in the lead as we shamble and stumble our way into the ditch. First, the Junta, via the flapping tardive dyskinesiatic blow hole that is Joe Biden's bile-encrusted frothing maw, has announced the feared and anticipated attempt to completely erase what little is left of the Second Amendment and the ability of the American people - now collectively a population of internal exile political prisoners - to defend themselves from said illegitimate, tyrannical regime.

In a statement, the [junta] outlined the following "initial actions" in his attack on gun rights:

- The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of "ghost guns."

- The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act.

- The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model "red flag" legislation for states...

Finally, the [junta] announced they will nominate David Chipman to serve as Director of the ATF. Chipman worked at Giffords, which advocates for gun bans. CNN called Chipman a "fierce advocate for gun control." Chipman locked his Twitter account so people cannot see what he has stated publicly, however, a comparison of online archives to his current account appears to show that he has deleted well over 1,000 tweets...

...The [junta] also again called for Congress to repeal gun manufacturers' immunity from liability, which pro-Second Amendment advocates say is a blatant attempt to bankrupt the gun industry.

Aside from the figurative hobnailed, jackbooted kick in the groin and follow-on stomping on our face (the literal one is doubtless just around the corner), ordinarily these E.O.s in the mid- to long-term are meaningless. The Second Amendment is politically a third rail and after all the lawsuits start flying much of this would get tossed. Ordinarily. But these are anything but ordinary times. This is not America. Oh the streets may look the same, barring the smoking ruins of dozens of urban areas that have been "mostly peacefully" turned into Dresden '45 and much of Main Street turned into a boarded up ghost town courtesy of lockdown fever, and there are "Democrats" and "Republicans" going through the motions of debate, but it's all a mirage. An apparition. These criminals terrorized the populace with psychological warfare in the form of a nastier than usual virus portrayed as an extinction-level event and actual political terrorism culminating in the rigging of an election and the overthrow of the will of the people. Scores of innocent folks are still to be charged with insurrection for the crime of daring to open their mouths in protest. Millions more are cowered into silence or worse, forced either by threat of their livelihoods and blackballing to knuckle under and parrot a blood libel about themselves and their heritage that, side by side, would be difficult to distinguish if it was written by Ibram X. Kendi or Alfred Rosenberg.

From Congress, to the courts to the agencies that are supposed to uphold our laws and protect the citizenry, By Any Means Necessary is not just a Marxist organization: it's the standard operating procedure of our "elected representatives." I mean all of them; the Democrats are there to cement and make permanent their stranglehold on power while the GOP, with very few exceptions, is there to fake outrage and protest, or else, as is the case with frauds like Asa Hutchinson and Kristi Noem, gaslight us into thinking that going along with our national suicide and enslavement is the height of Reaganite conservatism.

Yet even with all of that, the real ability for their "will to triumph" so to speak may not come from the cops, the FBI, ATF or even the Armed Militant Wing of the Democrat Party BLaM-tifa. It will come from Google, Amazon, Facebook and the real robber barons of the cyber world in league with the C-Suite. "C" standing for "Control." If you're appalled at the actions of Coca Cola and Delta Airlines, do you think that the CEOs of Bank of America, JPM-Chase and Wells Fargo are thinking any differently? It's debatable whether any action that Zhou Bai-Din takes or any anti-constitutional edict passed in the Capitol Hill Robert B. Reichhhhh-stag would survive an ultimate challenge at SCOTUS (although now that place is a sewer thanks to Roberts and Trump's picks turned traitors). But what if a bank suddenly declares Smith & Wesson or Remington to be complicit in slavery, or worse, global warming? What's to stop them from refusing to do business with them, or refusing to do business with any ordinary citizen who owns a gun or is a member of the NRA, which if it doesn't go bankrupt first will be dissolved by Letitia James and friends? If you think vaccine passports are only about vaccines, you must wonder why the two-week period from the end of February to mid March 2020 is now going on 54 weeks and counting. Considering the power and almost infinite reach of Big Brother Tech, add the willingness and even eagerness of those around you to rat you out and make your life hell, if not destroy it, for wrong-think or wrong-speak, any attempt to actually organize a resistance to this can land your ass in Leavenworth for 20-year vacation. If a man who calls himself a woman must under penalty of law be referred to as such, then you too can be an insurrectionist without even trying.

Oh, and in other news, we're paying off Iran again with pallets of cash in return for allowing them to build nukes. What a country!

If you're appalled at the actions of Coca Cola and Delta Airlines, do you think that the CEOs of Bank of America, JPM-Chase and Wells Fargo are thinking any differently? ... But what if a bank suddenly declares Smith & Wesson or Remington to be complicit in slavery, or worse, global warming? What's to stop them from refusing to do business with them, or refusing to do business with any ordinary citizen who owns a gun or is a member of the NRA, which if it doesn't go bankrupt first will be dissolved by Letitia James and friends?

If it were just the banks, we could survive it. If it were just Big Tech, we could survive it. If it were just the transport firms or just the big manufacturers or just the big entertainment companies or just the big retailers, we could survive it.

But there is no "just" to be found. It is *everyone.* The cancer has metastasized. This happened (I think) courtesy of HR. HR has the same problems that schools have. HR, like most teaching, is pretty easy and confers more authority than is reasonable for the effort. You won't get rich doing either, but you'll be fine. And powerful. With an easy job. Once a company gets big enough to have HR, the cancer enters the body. If it isn't excised immediately, it takes over. Sadly, I think we need to be immediately suspicious of any company with more than about 300 employees. This is not because of the men who build those companies - they're probably 50/50 on decency, just playing the law of averages - but because of the men who enter after the fact via HR and set those firms to subverting that which made them great in the first place.

Prosecution got its ass handed to it yesterday in Minneapolis. Even if the jury convicts out of fear the judge may have to vacate the verdict. The point was made at PJ that the expert they used was woefully unprepared and this was his first time out, speculating he was all they could get.

Time for me to put on my tinfoil hat.

I think that everyone involved knows that this is a big mess and the outcome is bad no matter what because the animals will riot regardless. I wonder if they're trying to square the circle. We saw during jury selection that there are a few BLM types on the jury who will convict no matter what. There are also a few that may try to be fair. It makes me think that they're trying to make sure the jury hangs. Then they get a retrial - maybe six months or so out - and get to do it all again. If things are still hot, run the same playbook and let it hang again. Keep going (maybe toss a change of venue into the mix for good measure) until no one cares anymore and then acquit or convict without consequence.

Close. What you're describing is nullification. It's happened before, and it has one of three outcomes. Either the feds back down or the states back down or neither backs down and you end up with a civil war. All three outcomes have happened in our history.

But the key isn't to stop taking their money. The feds will simply cut the state off (see the constant use of highway funding as a weapon against the states) and make that decision for them. The real trick is to stop *giving* them money. For the state to intervene and say (essentially), "we're treating this like a closed shop and we're opting out of the union. We'll keep paying for the essential bits like defense, but nothing else. All taxes on our residence come to our state treasury and we will cut a check to the feds proportionally based on population for their legitimate functions."

That one has never been done before. It never needed to be because we haven't had direct federal taxation - and captive federal police forces controlled by the taxation authorities - before when this has happened. In this respect, we are in uncharted waters.

But overall, I agree with you. What we need is a nullification crisis.

CPI is rising, energy costs are up, labor market is deteriorating. California and NY are not looking good in the scheme of things, and they are a big component that's not coming back. It hasn't hit the average person yet, but when inflation kicks in, and it will (and pro-tip, it won't be "transitory"), then the wheels start to flatten and come off. Equities are pumped right now on the free money and hope that more helicopter money is coming. That's why the Midget Clown in Treasury is pushing for "infrastructure" that isn't. They want to pump more of you tax money into everyone's hands, as opposed to real economic growth. They know they need government to grow if the real economy isn't. GDP will take a hit and things on the long end are going to get worse. I figure 18 months out once the impact of these moves really hit, it's a different world. Like Mad Max, only with a Demented Clown who can't speak in complete sentences driving the lead car.

If we as a society were willing to do away with the oppressive patriarchal structures that prevent our society from caring for all, then it breeds dependence for most. Progressive social policies that take care of our people will remove these kinds of considerations and allow the intellect and spirit of the downtrodden to develop and for the improvements those people can help form (after we stop oppressing them and keeping them marginalized) to spread across our society. This will improve all things for all people.

Of course we do. For one, we have John MacArthur whose church in CA is open although being harassed by the govt.. Rev. MacArthur has preached on the importance of the church to gather. I don't disagree at all. Foreign aid is a disastrous policy, especially when it goes to your enemy.

The reason to break it down is that big numbers are so common now, and the sums of money going to *everything* are so vast, that a lot of people just glaze over and shrug. There's no way to viscerally understand it, like in terms of "how many lawn chairs could this buy" and things at human scale. In my experience, breaking it down and comparing it to something meaningful is a way to get people to blink and go, "what the actual hell is going on here?" "We're spending $500 million to improve the lots of our city's 1.1 million homeless residents" is easy to shrug off. Pointing out that this breaks down to buying a median-price condo for every one of them gets more people to question what's going on.

Progs define "hate" as not kissing ass of illegals and criminals, and not handing over everything you worked for to protected groups.
She was taught in school that women were mistreated and are mistreated, and cannot be held responsible for their choices. The discussion (yesterday, maybe) about women not "choosing" STEM careers is part of this. They still deserve the same pay as engineers if they are social workers or in retail. Just as "we" must compensate blacks for things that happened over a hundred years ago (another hatred that must be kept alive and celebrated), women must be compensated for many centuries of oppression. I wish I was making this up. So hating grandpa is ok, and if you're dependent on him, it's his fault.

That's similar to my feelings about art. As an accomplished painter I don't consider my self an artist. With the exception of singing and playing music by ear, I think all other art forms are really skills. If people put enough work into anything they get a certain level of accomplishment-except singing or playing music by ear. I think those are truly arts.and they can't be taught.
